MARKET RECAP ⏪
------------------
Bonds navigated the last two weeks with the same stealth and fortitude as oil tankers navigating the Hormuz.
The peace deal at times has looked shaky, including a drone strike by Iran late on Friday, but markets seem determined to stay focused on econ data instead of geopolitics.
Although last week’s Fed meeting left a bruise, mortgage rates have avoided assassination while marching steadily lower since putting in a top on May 19.
Before this week it wasn’t clear if the bond bulls had returned, but with mortgage pricing just 129 bps shy of the February low, yeah… I think they’re back.
Mortgage rates aren’t the only thing declining; Gold is down 26% from its all-time high.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin looks like it’s seen the Boogeyman, dipping below $60k this week.
